I'm honoured and excited to be a member of The Flower Challenge team. I live in central Michigan and am a mother of 4, grandmother of 7 and great grandmother of 2. I also have 3 step-children, 8 step-grands and 10 step-greats. Not a blended family but a busy one.

My paper crafting journey has been a long and varied one. I started with scrapbooking almost 20 years ago using digital images from PC Crafter, and then a Cricut. While researching my Cricut online, I found the card making world and was hooked.

I started my blog almost 7 years ago to share my cards and with inspiration  of other bloggers and challenges, I delved into stamps, inks, embossing, watercoloring and other techniques. I am now on several design teams and the friends I have made there and in Blogland are some of the best, always kind with their comments and support.

I named my blog "Bits and Pieces" because I am also a quilter and used to do mosaic, which means most of my crafting uses bits and pieces of paper, fabric or china.

Laurie Unger (Designer)

I've been stamping, scrapbooking, and making cards for over 15 years but I now mainly focus on making cards. I'm a collector of rubber stamps and clear stamps and well, just about any stamp will do!

I have been married to my Husband Bob for over 35 years and we love the outdoors. Our children Boone and Chloe, are Alaskan Malamutes with huge hearts, plenty of personality and attitude!

Marcia Hill (Designer)
Hello friends.  My name is Marcia Hill and I'm married to a wonderful guy and we have 3 beautiful daughters and 4 grandchildren.

I have been stamping since 1999 when I was invited to a SU! party and have been addicted ever since with no desire to be cured!  I started my blog in 2008 so I could play along in challenges and have been happily playing along since!

My style is all over the place as I love CAS, layers, and stenciling...to name a few!  Flowers have ALWAYS been a favorite for me, so joining the Flower Challenge DT is a dream come true!

Greetings from beautiful Thessaloniki in Greece. I’m originally from the UK but met my husband whilst on Holiday nearly forty years ago and we’ve been together ever since! We are jewellery shop owners and designers and in the past year our two sons have joined us both designing and hand making jewellery. I started crafting in 2010 after accidentally ordering a Silhouette Cameo die cutting machine  I was looking for something completely unrelated on the internet as you do and it just fell into my shopping basket !

I’m now a full time paper hoarder and crafter and love to experiment with all of the new trends. I’m an avid sewer and can often be found at my sewing machine when not making cards. I also design some of our window displays and stationery so am kept quite busy . I'm so excited to be part of the The Flower Challenge team with such an  amazing group of talented ladies whom I have been admiring from afar for some time now  and look forward to this exciting faze in my crafting journey.

Home, in my Michigan craft room, is truly where my heart is happiest - unless I'm on another fabulous road trip with my husband! I'm so lucky he never minds a stop along the way to meet a blogging friend!

I've been making cards, and blogging, since 2014 and I'm still learning!

Thanks so much for inviting me to join The Flower Challenge design team !

Nancy Penir (Designer)

Greetings from California's Central Valley, USA, where anything and everything grows. My name is Nancy Penir, and I love to craft; cards, quilts, painting, stained glass, any and all hand work. I'm a wife, mother of 5 and grandmother to 11 grands.

Currently raising 15 chickens, 7 ducks, one dog, 2 cats and 30+ koi.
So excited to be joining The Flower Challenge. Did I mention I love gardening too? Plants in doors and out, and a vegetable garden that's a favorite for the chickens.

Check out what's new on my blog, artful-notions.blogspot.com, and Facebook and Instagram under nancypenir.

Hey Hi All, This is SathyaKala. I am a Toxicologist by qualification and have a pulsating desire to pursue my Doctorate. Am married to my best friend, a Toxicologist Researcher and we are blessed with a 13 year old son.

Being a child of an oil painting artist, I have loved arts and crafts since my childhood. Started crafting and blogging with Quilling as my passion and participated several times in UK’s Quilling Guild competitions and published in UK Quiller magazine. Slowly I branched out as Stamper, Cardmaker, Mixed media artist, Calligrapher and now enjoy working with Procreate

Handmade Flower making using Dies is my absolute favourite in early days of my blogging and it drove me into Floral Colouring, be it Pencil colouring or Watercolouring. My Insta grid speaks much about my love for Flowers.

Learning new art forms keeps my mind fresh and inventive. I find that one passion crosses over the next, gives a different spin to it.

Thanks so much for inviting me to join The Flower Challenge Design Team.

Stef Perry   (Designer)

Hello! Stef here! I started my crafting journey in 2007, and along the way, cards with flowers have long become my favorite creations.

While I enjoy dabbling in mixed media periodically, my love is coloring, especially with Copic markers.

I am thrilled to be joining The Flower Challenge Design team!

Vicky Hayes (Designer)
Hi, I’m Vicky. I'm from the UK and live in the middle of England with my husband and two beautiful golden retrievers called Eva and Lulu. Confusingly, my blog is called Crafting Clare’s Paper Moments, but that’s because my daughter used to tease me when I brought my crafting stuff out. “Oh look, I see Crafting Clare is having one of her paper moments!” she would say! I’ve been stamping since 2009 and love the way card making is such a quick way to feel the satisfaction of creating. It’s never boring - there’s always a new technique to learn or (ahem) a new product to experiment with! I love the friendship of the online crafting community too and how we all share the excitement of our hobby. I’ve been admiring all the talent at the Flower Challenge for ages and am excited to join the design team :)

Karren (Administrator from October 2023)

Hi, I'm Karren and I live in Christchurch, New Zealand.  I have been stamping since about 1998 and was introduced to the hobby by my mum.  I got serious about it while on maternity leave with my youngest in 2002 and have been stamping, learning and buying since then 😄. I was on the original Flower Challenge design team but had to step down due to time constraints.  When I was advised the challenge was closing, I offered to take it over because the concept of a challenge dedicated to flower cards is something worth continuing.

Challenge Creator and Administrator until October 2023

 Aileen Ryan (Creator & Designer)

Hi I'm Aileen,  I have my own business involving teaching Sign Language and drawing Sign Language graphics. This is temporarily on hold as I am co-sharing the roll of carer of both parents who have dementia and  my daughter with special needs, grandmother, babysitter, card making fanatic. When I'm not doing all that I read.

I love to colour, that is my passion whether its Copics, pencils, paints, Zigs, Inktense Pencils. The majority of my cards have colouring on them. If not colouring then its bright anyway. I don't seem to know the word subtle when it comes to colour, though I do try, sometimes.

I started blogging 18 months ago at Colour and Sparkle and then decided a few months ago I would like to try starting a Challenge.   A Challenge involving flowers/flora. I am obsessed with floral stamps and could blog everyday for a year I think, and not repeat a stamp.

I found a few other blog friends who felt the same way and asked them if they would like to join me in this adventure. I cannot believe the positive responses. Everyone said yes, even though a few of them are on other Design Teams and very busy in themselves.

Now we are all ready to start these Challenges and hope you will enjoy the journey with us.

Vivien Hodge (Administrator & Designer)

Hi everyone, my name is Vivien Hodge and I live in Norfolk, UK. I am retired now but used to be a hairdresser and owned my own salon. Health issues forced me to retire so I looked for a hobby. I have been making cards and wire jewellery for about 19 yrs now. Happily married with three children and four grandchildren now too.

My husband is also into crafts and makes lovely things out of wood, and now model houses also. I like to make quite simple CAS cards mostly, using stamps, digital images, die-cuts etc. I love my Happy Cuts machine, Copic markers, Promarkers etc. I love using my Distress inks and the lovely effects they can achieve. Watercolouring is my new joy just lately.

I really enjoy messing with graphics and digital things too and have been involved with all graphics here. It's how I got involved with this challenge really as Aileen asked me to design a header and it went from there.

I am really enjoying The Flower Challenge as a fellow Designer, so exciting. What an honour to be chosen thank you so much Aileen ;)
